Shellie & John 20017, Castillo San Cristobal, Old San Juan Puerto Rico
The day before the wedding we found a field next to Castillo San Cristobal. The natural slope to the sea walls created the perfect location for our event.
This might be the very moment they realized this whole idea might work out.
The bride and groom hosted a small rehearsal dinner at an AirBnb for the entire wedding party.
We even met some new friends from the Dutch Navy that will help us on the wedding day as “security”.
Candid moments can tel the story. I’ll let you guess what is going on here.
Old San Juan farmers market happens every Saturday. This let John find the perfect flowers to turn into the most amazing bouquets for the wedding. The flower stand owner was elated to sell out his entire stock in one sale.
Each bridesmaid was told to get a pastel flower dress to complete their look.
Local hair stylists were found via instagram. They killed it with the ladies looks!
About 15 minutes before the ceremony our new Dutch Navy friend went down to the ceremony spot to hopefully clear out an area. No one said no to the man in dress whites.
The groom did an amazing job on the wedding bouquets!
One of our close friends Jenny was ordained for the ceremony. The personal touches added plenty of humor to the beautiful day.
A small crowd cheered the newlyweds after the first kiss.
Wet Wilie’s to thank the officiant.
The picture above is one of the favorite moments I was able to capture for the bride and groom. They pulled off an amazing wedding on a shoestring budget in only 2 days!
Following the ceremony they were able to reserve a table for the wedding party at the hotel they were staying in for the weekend. The restaurant owner agreed to the large seating the night before and provided a family style meal. We topped off the night with the first dances accompanied by the local band performing at dinner.
